Day 3 is over and I met my goals again. Today was harder because Ezra woke me up at 4:30 a.m. and I couldn't go back to sleep, so I was very tired today.
After work, I came home and crashed, I really needed that nap! After the nap, I meditated a little over 10 minutes.
Hunger also kicked in, because lately my fasts haven't extended past 2.5 days.
I drank Lemonade Ultima Hydrating Electrolyte Powder today, had some pink himalayan salt, KAL Nutritional Yeast supplement (for B12). I also drank a La Croix.
I measured my ketones today with KETO-MOJO and they are at 1.1.
Tonight I weighed and my weight loss since Saturday is 11.5 lbs.
Today I told a couple of people at work about my meditation goal and no refined sugar goal. I didn't mention the fasting so much, it's just easier that way.
So far, so good!

Day 2 - 48 hours fasted
Today is Day 2 of Motivated March!
After fasting for over 48 hours, I feel fine. I definitely felt increased mental clarity at work. When I got home, I tested my ketones with KETO-MOJO (except I don't have the bluetooth version). My ketones were at 0.9. So, not where I'd like them to be yet, but definitely improving since yesterday.
I drank Dr. Jason Fung's Pique Fasting Tea today, the Matcha Green flavor. It was good. I don't like it as concentrated as they recommend, I used a bottle twice the size they recommend for the pouch and I thought it was still kind of strong. It was great, I was not tempted to take candy from the candy bowl at work!
I started the day today with about 15 minutes of meditation, so I got one goal out of the way first thing.

Day 1 - Motivated in March 2020!
Today is Day 1 of my quest to remain motivated and on track to achieving my goals.
I have 3 goals for the month of March:
It's been over 24 hours of fasting, and I have already lost 5 pounds!
I'm using Fastient to track my fast.
I drink Berkey water, I have the Travel Berkey. I don't actually travel with it, it sits on my counter above my sink. I love the taste of Berkey water, and I use it to cook with, for my espresso machine, and for my drinking water and my pets' drinking water.
I also drink hot tea, La Croix, and Dr. Jason Fung's Pique Fasting Tea (I drink the Ginger Green Fasting Tea and the Matcha Green Fasting tea, I haven't ordered the Cinnamon Herbal Fasting Tea, but when I run out, I want to try it).
For electrolytes, I will either add the Lemonade Ultima Hydrating Electrolyte Powder to my water, or I will drink Snake Juice.
My plan is to fast as long as I feel okay, for at least 72 hours, but no longer than 7 days. I will initially break each fast with Athletic Greens (I just ordered Athletic Greens for the first time this weekend and should arrive sometime this week), and then a half hour later will eat a healthy meal.
After a healthy meal (whole food plant-based, no refined sugar, limited starches), I will roll into the next fast.
During the month of March, there are a few days where I have family visiting and there are also a couple of social obligations I must attend, all of which involve food. For those days, I will ensure that I adhere to a small eating window of 4 to 6 hours per day. After that's done, I will get back on track with fasting.
My goal is to lose as much weight as I can during the month of March while still feeling good.
I will meditate first thing in the morning for 5 minutes each day. If I forget, I will meditate right after work or before going to bed at night.
It's my hope that documenting my experience will help hold me accountable.

- Lose weight through fasting
- Meditate for at least 5 minutes each day
- Log the experience (including video logs! scary!)
